Essay: Employee performance and Organization Turnover

0
0

Employee performance is another factor for turnover because if performance is good they are recognized for it thus they are motivated to work better and employee satisfaction is higher. Satisfied employees will never leave but dissatisfied will obviously exit (Jewell & Seagull, 1990).

Based on these reasons for turnover one can say recruitment process has a role to play in turnover but not entirely because other factors are more evident in causing turnover. Recruitment has an indirect relationship with turnover because if right people are hired for the right jobs they will be satisfied and turnover will minimize automatically. But recruitment is a complicated process that is not perfect enough to always give correct results since discrepancies exist and that is where other factors come into play that cause turnover. Factors like recruitment or hiring practice, style of management, no recognition or reward system or lack of a good compensation system are all reasons for turnover so recruitment is just one of the factors that cause turnover and improving just one factor will not have a significant effect on minimizing turnover since it is important to work on all factors to reduce turnover but of course it depends from organization to organization and situation to situation (Abbasi & Hollman, 2000).

Essay: Discrimination and Non-Combatant Immunity

Jus in Bello is another yardstick of determining whether an act of terrorism can be justifiable. The first condition is revolves around ‘discrimination and noncombatant immunity’. This aims at ensuring non-combatants and innocent civilians are immune from attack. Likewise, the state waging war must take reasonable measures to ensure they use the minimum force required to secure the just cause in line with the doctrine of proportionality.

This ought to be done via legitimate means i.e. n means mala in se. states must shun crude weapons or guerilla methods that speak evil in themselves. There should be no war crimes committed to undermine humanity such as rape, treachery, genocide, forcible displacement of population and persecutions. Once just war has been waged against an enemy combatant, there are humanitarian conditions that must be observed such as the dignified treatment of prisoners of war. This doctrine is called ‘benevolent quarantine for prisoners of war (Thalif 9)

Dell’s current business strategy is lesser costs, greater value for customers in order to develop customer relationship management process further and always to stay ahead of their competitors in terms of market share and profits. Their core competencies have milked their business strategy and since its good for the customers and for the company the strategy has been an outright success. The strategy can be analyzed using the generic strategies by Porter and Ansoff’s matrix of growth.

Dell is addressing the challenges of this market in the Asia-Pacific region because in the past people could not afford to buy PC’s and they went to cafes mostly but now things have changed and the consumer market for PC’s is more lucrative and people can afford PC’s. But since the market in this region is not very used to purchasing online since the trend of purchasing online is still in its infant stages and price is a deciding factor for customers so it’s important that they get to see and check before purchasing expensive items like a PC so selling through retail outlets is a social norm. Customization in PC’s has still got to inculcate in the psyche of customers of this region. Thus, Dell has now come up with retail outlets to sell its computers to the mass markets and this is a challenge for Dell since they had to break their business norm and competency in order to serve the market in this region. Although this must have been tough for Dell but the company is addressing challenges of these markets effectively.

Among many cultures in the world, especially Asia sex is considered a taboo and must be avoided in daily life conversations. It is something that is not very commonly discussed among some cultures. Talking about sex in such cultures is thought to be vulgar. There is a gap between parents and children and they cannot discuss or talk about sex so openly. Females in some cultures have to observe veil in order to hide sexually arousing parts of the body. There is a separate education for girls and boys and they cannot talk with each other.

Adolescence is the stage of life where youngsters become very curious about the sexuality of the opposite sex. They try to seek the attention of the opposite sex by dressing properly and maintaining a good physical outlook. Physical changes start to occur in this stage where girls and boys go through puberty. They like experimenting and become curious to explore genitals of the opposite gender. Considering all these changes it is very important for parents to be friendly and open with their children. They must be allowed to ask questions about sex. If parents do not encourage their children to ask questions about sex they can get into wrong sexual practices leading to diseases and problems. In this article, we will discuss as to why sex education is so important for adolescents. Please keep reading to find out.

Adolescents are vulnerable to unsafe sex practices. They like experimenting things and they can try to explore genitals of opposite gender. Unsafe sex practice due to lack of awareness can lead to sexually transmitted diseases. Some of the diseases like HIV/AIDS are fatal and can cause death after a certain period of time as the disease progresses. Unsafe sex practices can also lead to premature pregnancy where young girls can find it very difficult to cope. Their body is not entirely developed to bare the pain of pregnancy and in the process, fatality can occur. It could lead to early parenthood at a very tender age where their soul focus should be on making a career. Early parenthood can be a very difficult experience because of lack of awareness. It can result in financial problems and eventually can lead to depression.

Considering all these aspects it is very important for parents and their children to be open about sex. Parents should discuss sex with their children in order to increase their awareness where they can avoid getting into trouble.

Sex Education

An open and good relationship between children and their parents is very important. When parents are open to discussing their children they open up more and can share other problems they are likely to be suffering from. If parents are stiff in nature and avoid discussing something like sex with their children then children find other ways to get the answers. They may even get into bad company encouraging them unethical practices. It is very important for parents to behave like close friends rather than a fatherly figure trying to control them all the time. The more children are suppressed the more the chances of them become rebellious eventually. Parents should be open to discuss about anything their children wish to discuss. This way parents also know the whereabouts of their children and can result in a good healthy relationship. This way parents can also save their children from indulging in wrong and dangerous activities.

Sex as a Basic Instinct

All the human beings are designed to reproduce and in order for it to take place, sex is important element. Sex is a normal activity and is part of growing up but it has to be practiced remaining within the boundaries. Children who are not well educated and are not aware of protected sex can contract serious sexually transmitted diseases like Candida, syphilis, AIDS, HIV and gonorrhea. Some sexually transmitted diseases like HIV and AIDS are incurable and can eventually result in premature death. Children who are not educated about safe sex practices are more vulnerable to these diseases since they lack awareness. This proves that sex education is extremely important for children.

The Use of Contraceptives

Young teenagers who indulge in unprotected sex practices can become parents out of wedlock. They can become parents at a very young age when they are not designed to take the pressures of family life by being parents. Young girls are not properly developed in teenage years and becoming pregnant being too young can lead to serious health complications. It is very important for a school or parents to educate teenagers about use of contraceptives during sexual activity. Young teenagers should be aware of using contraceptives in order to avoid sexually transmitted diseases and to avoid becoming pregnant at a very young age.

Shakespeare’s Sonnets- Introduction and Themes

0
0

Shakespeare, the great and most influential English playwright, has not only shown his brilliancy in play writing but also has conquered the ground of poetry buy writing beautiful and musical 154 sonnets. The sonnets of Shakespeare are completely different form his plays. The sonnets do not have any of the signature dramatic elements of Shakespeare’s plays; these sonnets have their own class which separates them from the sonnets of other poets. Many critics believe that Shakespearean sonnets are autobiographical–deal with real events, but as no one knows enough about his life, it cannot be said that whether these sonnets are inspired by real and personal events or not.

The first 126 of the sonnets are addressed to a fair young nobleman, whom the speaker admires very much. From 126-152 sonnets are addressed to a dark mysterious woman, who is the subject of speaker’s love and hatred at the same time. The rest of the sonnets are not connected to any of the sets. This characterization is not done by Shakespeare himself, the editors have categorized the sonnets according to their content.

Themes of Sonnets

The most prominent themes of Shakespeare’s sonnets are the young man, the dark lady, immortality through verses, the rival poet, time and love.

The Fair Young man:

Shakespeare addressed 126 of his sonnets to an unidentified young man. This young man has shown having immense intellectual attributes and outstanding physical features. In first seventeen sonnets, the speaker urges the man to marry someone so that his beauty can be passed down to his offspring. In this way, he can attain immortality. Many critics have done too much leg work to solve the mystery of the young man. Most of them believe that the admiration and affection of Shakespeare for that fair man are out of his intention to flatter the man for his personal means.

The Dark Lady:

127-154 sonnets are addressed to a mysterious dark lady. In these sonnets, the speaker seems confused because he sometimes shows his hatred for the dark lady and sometimes his affection for her. Some critics believe that the reference of a dark lady is mere a literary rebellion of Shakespeare against the conventional obsession of contemporary and early poets with the fair women. Other poets have always praised the fairness of fair women; Shakespeare decided to revolt against them by praising the beauty of the Dark woman and showing his affection as well as his hatred for her.

Should children be allowed to follow their instincts?

0
0

“The child is the father of man”

The great English romantic poet, William Wordsworth, believed that a child is the father of man as he has knowledge which is not tarnished by human experience. This initial knowledge is, referred by many scholars as, intuitive knowledge or intuition. This kind of knowledge can never be acquired by any means; it is an innate capability of a child. However, this innate ability of child fades away as we imbue him with norms and principles of the society. However, there are many scholars who believe that child’s intuition cannot teach him those values which are acceptable by his society. Therefore, it is necessary to teach him the difference between what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. Those who favor teachings over intuition also believe that child does not have necessary experience to decide what is good for him and what is bad.

Those who believe that a child must be allowed to follow his instincts are of the opinion that a child is born with innate capabilities. A child must have freedom to explore his capabilities and potential and foster them. By providing children the opportunity to learn from their own mistakes and experiences, we can teach them to be independent and responsible. When we force children to follow the path we have chosen for them, then we actually deprive them of their freedom.

On the flip side, there are people who are against the concept of relying on the intuitive learning ability of the child. Such people argue that child’s mind is like a plain paper.  The mind of child needs guidance and teachings which cannot be acquired by means of intuition. Children are highly impressionable; they learn and imitate what they see. Therefore, it is better to tell them what is right and what is wrong, so that they would not imitate something which is bad and unacceptable. It is important to imbue children with valuable morals and principles of the society. If children will not learn, the difference between good and bad, then they will adopt habits that will conflict with the set-system of the society.

Conclusively, it can be said that child’s social upbringing is important. However, neglecting his innate abilities is completely wrong. Parents must allow their children to explore their potential and must help them to foster it. Children must have the right to choose their future career by knowing their likes and dislike. If parents will try to mold their child’s life according to their own will, then they will do a great injustice to their child.

Should children be taught the importance of money?

0
0

In this materialistic world, everyone is in a constant race to earn money to make his/her both ends meet. In order to live a good life, the monetary acquisition is necessary. The young generation must be taught the importance of money so that they will learn the skills of managing money from early years of their lives. They will learn the ways to earn money and to spend money prudently. However, some people are not in the favor of early monetary education. They believe that children must learn other valuable things in their childhood such as moral principles.

There are many people who believe that schools must have finance as a subject in their curriculum. This will imbue children with the importance of money. Form the needs of life to the necessary healthcare treatments, money plays an important role. One cannot think of having all basis necessities of life without money. Moreover, the quality education and health services cannot be acquired if the person does not have money. Therefore, children must learn the value of money. When a child will learn that how important it is to earn money then he/she will start finding ways to make money or to save it for future. If they will not know the importance of money at their early age, then they will have problems regarding the acquisition of money in their later age.

On the flip side, there are people who believe that instilling the importance of money from the early years of life is wrong. Children are supposed to be free from all the worries of later life. If these innocent souls will be taught what money means then they will feel burdened with the future responsibilities. They should not be thought that the size of wallet is the sole parameter of one’s success. Money without love and happiness cannot bring success. Therefore, moral principles such as honesty, love, trust, etc, must be taught to children at their early age. They can learn how to make or spend money in later part of their lives.

Indeed, it is true that everyone must know the importance of money, but imbuing children with its importance at their early age is quite irrelevant. They can know how important money is in their later age. Therefore, there is no point of adding finance as a subject in the curriculum of small children. Money is not the sole measure of success, certain humanistic values also play an important role to accelerate one’s future. Therefore, such values must be taught to children.

Pros and cons of organ donation

0
0

The pros and cons of organ donation initially try to determine what ethical base if any can justify this process. The issue is better answered in the communities that we live in, and which entails a concept of justice and moral obligation. Contrary to popular belief, live people can donate organs. A person does not have to be dead for him/her to be a donor. A person can safely donate one Kidney and live a healthy life with the remaining kidney. Part of a liver, lung or pancreas may also be donated by live people without any possible ill effects on their life or well being. Bone Marrow and blood can also be donated by a living person.

Research and write about the unethical aspect of donation, like the thriving black market for organs, especially kidneys that individuals in desperate need of money sell to wealthy people. Because this form of trade is illegal, individuals who donate their organs receive substandard medical care. The prime beneficiaries are the doctors who make tremendous amounts of money from these illegal transactions. The availability of cadaveric donors can ease the illegal trade in organs. The organ donation system depends on the unselfish concern by people for the welfare of others. However this altruism is not very common, so it is planned to launch incentive schemes for the procurement of organs.

The fear of dying while waiting for a donor induces people to deal with the black market, and they justify this by the ends served or the recipients living longer or leading a normal life. This black market discriminates because only people with money can afford these transplants. Legalizing this trade would probably lead to increased supply and lower prices, enabling the not so wealthy to afford transplants. There are thousands of patients in need of organ transplants, and it is estimated that in the United States an average of six people dies daily waiting to receive life-saving transplants. One donor can save the lives of as many as 25 transplant patients.

Steps must be taken to reduce the number of people who die because of the unavailability of donors. The determining factor in organ allocations should not be who is next on the list, but who has the direct and urgent need. The needs of critically ill patients should be given priority when determining organ recipients. To people with organ failure in any part of the world, organ transplants are gifts of love and life.

Pros and Cons of President Obama’s QE2 Policy

0
0

The stimulus economic package of President Barrack Obama was approved by Congress in February 2009. This package was calculated to stimulate economic growth and save up to 2.3 million jobs. As of October 30, 2009, 640,329 jobs had already been saved by this bill.  The package was to be put into effect over the next ten years. An easy explanation of (Quantitative Easing) QE is that it is an irregular monetary policy that is put into effect by Central Banks to revive the economy by purchasing financial assets to inject a certain amount of money into the economy. This is quite different from the usual financial policy of dealing in government bonds to maintain interest at a specified level.

This has the effect of increasing the excess reserves of banks, and also increases the price of the financial assets that have been while at the same lowering their yields. For the package to have an immediate positive effect on the economy, 95% of this amount was to be utilized during the first three financial years. This would not increase the GDP, it was meant to make the economy healthier, even if the country was undergoing a recession. Advocates for this package maintain that the package performed better than expectations. By the end of the Financial Year 2009 (October 30, 2009) $241 billion had been utilized for unemployment and other benefits, for tax relief and for creating new employment opportunities.

President Obama’s package was meant to restore the self-assurance to stimulate real economic growth because it was evident that a financial policy was essentially required as the Monetary had done all it could and still more had to do with the growth of the economy. After assuming office, the President realized that the $190 billion that he had quoted during his election campaign was not nearly enough to revive economic growth and spectacular and forceful measures were the need of the hour to keep the economy from sliding further down.

Some essential mechanisms like enacting foreclosure freeze had already been put into effect, and other parts of the package such as abolishing taxes for senior citizens earning up to $50,000/- were still an essential component of this package. The incentives for small businesses did help to create jobs, reduce capital gains for small investors and increased loans from banks. But so many states were in such deep financial trouble that the Federal aid was not enough to cover their losses. The main purpose of this package was to reduce the impact of the recession

Protecting Children and Their Families

Every child deserves the chance for achieving their full potential This means that every child should receive the love and care that he/she deserves so that they remain in good health, be safe from harm, enjoy life and be given the chance to achieve their maximum potential so that they become responsible citizen and make their contributions to society and eventually grow up achieve financial security. Child abuse is very common and there is no specific reason or description as to why parents and caregivers mistreat their children because this maltreatment occurs across among all socioeconomic, religious, cultural, racial and ethnic groups and the risk factor to children is the same no matter who abuses the child.

Children whose parents have been the subject of mistreatment have a higher probability of suffering abuse from their parents, and the cause in each family can be quite different from other families. Many researchers have attempted to link child abuse with the financial well being of the family indicating that child abuse is more frequent in poor families, yet it has been noticed that many poor people do not harm or abuse their children and give them the same loving care as affluent people. While estimates vary as to the percentage of children that are abused by their parents, but it is a proven fact that one-third of all parents who themselves were abused as children. Children who were subject to violence or witnessed violence usually subjected their own children to the same violence treatment that they witnessed or received.

However, it would not be correct to assume that a maltreated child will always grow up to be a violent parent because there are individuals who despite being mistreated do not treat the children in the same manner. Research proved that around two-thirds of individuals who were mistreated during their childhood did not subject their children to the same manner of treatment. To face the challenge of parenting, parent themselves require many forms of support. When parents need help, it should be viewed as an indication of responsibility and not as the failure on the part of the parents. Parenting can be challenging. Parents themselves require and deserve support. Asking for help should be seen as a sign of responsibility rather than as a parenting failure.

Patterns of family life vary and there is no single, perfect way to bring up children. Good parenting involves caring for children’s basic needs, keeping them safe and protected, being attentive and showing them warmth and love, encouraging them to express their views and consistently taking these views into account, and providing the stimulation needed for their development and to help them achieve their potential, within a stable environment where they experience consistent guidance and boundaries.

Protecting Consumers Against Inflation

Consumers would automatically be protected against inflation because private banks would first state an explicit inflation and then provide assurance for the performance of actions if the independent forecast does not achieve its targets. The explicit implementation of such policies ensures price stability by competing banks and protects its customers against inflation. Competition among banks, therefore, leads to a deviation from contemporary best practice in the short term and to faster performance evolution as the incentive to innovate induces improvements over the long term. To earn the best grades in your Dissertation, Thesis and college assignments you should choose an academic writing service that will meet your best writing needs.

The best way to protect customers against inflation would be to replace the money that has been created as interest bearing debt with money that was not created as an interest bearing debt or money that does not need any subsidiary amounts more than the amounts increased to be paid as interest. The private banks would have to be very careful that neither too much money or too little was made and monitoring inflationary trends would be a good basis for assessing the amounts of money that the private banks should issue  “Interest” is a word that everyone is very familiar with. It is the word used for describing the rates earned and paid on money lent and also describes the value premium of current over future commodities. Interest is omnipresent and is essential to the functioning of any market oriented economy because it cannot be separated from the profit and loss structure, inflation and improbability costs of insurance and inducements to buy and sell.

Interest would exist in a pure exchange economy production occurred because of the irregularity in the demand and supply of goods and services. Interest would still exist because there will always be differences in demand, supply, and surpluses. Current models of interest rates are usually based on the representative agent structure with limiting inclination to high expectations of the representative agent. No economy, whether a production or an exchange economy can flourish without interest. Interest represents the profit on any form of labor or investment for producing or exchanging goods. Interest depends upon the resources of goods and their demand and supply.

Some goods have higher commercial value and could be exchanged for a greater amount of goods or money than other products. A person might exchange a large amount of raw material for a finished product. The person with the raw material might not have the know-how or labor to convert it into a useful product. The person with the finished product would demand something more than the cost of labor and raw material for the finished.

Protecting Children From Harm And Abuse

Safeguarding children is the responsibility of the parents, their families, and their communities. However, it is also the responsibility of professionals whose profession are connected to the welfare of children to provide professional advice to parents, communities and schools the best way to safeguard the rights of children Professionals should utilize their knowledge, experience, and expertise for promoting the welfare of children and be aware of the emotional weight of this work and ensure vigorous clinical supervision and support to protect children. Social care workers often approach people living in proximity to a child about whom they have received reports of abuse.

Although instances of children losing their life due to maltreatment do not occur frequently, many regulations and laws pertaining to safeguarding children are connected to the rare occasions when children died as a result of being mistreated. Children are also protected specifically legally under human rights regulations both internationally and within the laws of respective countries. These laws are unchallengeable because they are their fundamental rights to which any person is inherently entitled as a human being. These rights are applicable everywhere and these laws are democratic because they are the same for everyone. Protecting the rights of children requires compassion and adherence to the law and imposes a duty to respect the human rights of everyone especially children.

In 1999 the Protection of Children Act was approved, with the objective of preventing adults who had sexual desires for children from being employed in any capacity or department which worked for safeguarding and protecting children. In January 2003, a report was published by Lord Laming which proved that health, police and social services had missed at least 12 opportunities to save children who died as a result of maltreatment. Such grave incidents initiated serious recommendations to establish a special ministry for children including a national agency whose sole responsibility was to be safeguarding children.

This recommendation also resulted in the establishment of an electronic tracking system for children and a special children’s directorate which supervised all social service departments established for the welfare and well-being of children.  In 2004, the government published the children’s proposal whose main proposals were the safeguarding the legal rights of children and the setting up of children’s trusts to ensure the protection of children. Professionals who work for the rights of children, law enforcement agencies and others who are concerned should follow procedures and make it their humanitarian and social duty to report incidences of child abuse to the appropriate agencies.

Providing And Maintaining Customer Satisfaction

One of the massive contemporary challenges of companies in industries is providing and maintaining customer satisfaction. Service quality and customer satisfaction have increasingly been identified as key factors in the battle for competitive differentiation and customer retention. Experts claim that overwhelming customer demand for quality products and service has in recent years become increasingly evident to professionals in the every organization.  Among all customer demands, service quality has been increasingly recognized as a critical factor in the success of any business. During the past few decades, customer satisfaction and service quality have become a major area of attention to practitioners and academic researchers. Both concepts have a strong impact on business performance and customer behavior.

Service quality leads to higher profitability and customer satisfaction.  Several tools are available for measuring customer satisfaction like a customer complaint line, a section for complaints on your websites, comment cards and much more. Adherence to the norm of listening to customer pays great dividends for the business and ensures a competitive advantage over your business rivals. It is a known fact that only companies survive and thrive when they obtain and retain competitive advantages in all aspects of the business. Having a great product with a great price does not ensure a company’s competitive edge

Because of globalization, competition has grown increasingly tougher which require more aggressive marketing and shortened product cycles. Competition has also grown more intense between different companies manufacturing products with the same use or utility. Customer’s experience of branded goods as unique or worth their price determines the competitive edge for companies marketing famous branded trademarks. A factor to retaining a company’s competitive advantage is to compete against oneself more than against other rivals. This makes for better customer care and service which is quite essential in your quest for seeking competitive advantages.

Companies must also have effective leadership and companies must invest both time and money in the development, assessment, and retention because they are as essential as any other factors for business advantage and performance. Corporate managers know that attracting and grooming the best executive talent is a priority without regards to the business environment. Companies must strengthen their abilities for attracting and retaining the best quality of leadership personnel. This can be done by developing the sort of background, atmosphere, and teams that exceptional executive want to become part of because this is one very important aspect of obtaining and retaining competitive advantage.

Should Euthanasia be legalized?

0
0

Euthanasia is referred to as deliberately killing someone who is suffering from terminal illness. A person suffering from a terminal illness does not have any chance of survival and he is deliberately put to death upon his request to end pain and misery. People suffering from terminal illnesses go through a lot of physical and emotional pain. In order to avert excruciating pain caused by a fatal disease, a person requests the doctor or a nurse to kill him usually done by administering a lethal injection. In some circles, euthanasia is a very controversial topic. Some people approve it and say that it is a just practice which ends the misery of a terminally ill person. It provides peace and enables one to embrace death swiftly to end further suffering. However, in some circles euthanasia is considered as a grave sin. From religious perspective, life is given by God and nobody but only He has the right to end it. Therefore, euthanasia is considered as going against the will of God. In some religions like Christianity and Islam, suicide is an unforgivable sin.

It can be a very hard decision to make because it can negatively affect family members of the terminally ill patient. But at the end of the day, a person suffering is the only one who understands his misery. It is not easy for him to keep living in such a vegetative state for a long time. If the illness is something that causes slow and painful death then euthanasia becomes important.

Fatal diseases like AIDS and cancer are very painful. They cause excruciating pain to the person and lead to very slow and painful death. Cancer especially can be very painful because if it is diagnosed late it does not have any cure. If cancer is diagnosed earlier chances of survival are very high. The problem with diseases like cancers is that it does not reveal any symptoms in its earlier stages. When symptoms start to show up it is already too late and the only line of treatment available in such a condition is to prolong the disease which can be very painful for a person. Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy do not have any impact especially when cancer metastasizes to other parts of the body. Once cancer spreads from its point of origin to other parts of the body it further deteriorates the vital organs and eventually results in slow and very painful death.

In order to end the misery of a fatally ill person suffering from AIDS or cancer practicing euthanasia should be legalized.

Shoulder Surfing

Shoulder surfing is a method of social engineering to gain access to info that they are not privy to. Shoulder surfing involves being adept at reading whatever users input into their computers using their keyboards; this included login names as well as passwords. Shoulder surfing requires a lot of practice to perfect, but with the investment of enough time and effort, it may be mastered. Social engineers who practice the art of shoulder surfing use their skills to know the PIN codes that entered at Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) as well as to see codes for long distance authorization that the caller may be dialing. Shoulder surfing for ATM theft is much simpler as compared to shoulder surfing for computers as there are much fewer characters involved which mean fewer entities to be memorized on the part of shoulder surfer. Also, if someone discards their receipt of the transaction from the ATM at a nearby waste basket, the shoulder surfer may also attempt to match the PIN with some account number in order to make a fake ATM card. Oftentimes shoulder surfers make use of high pwered telescopes or binoculars to track the PIN codes being entered, which makes it very challenging to protect against this kind of attack.

Another common technique of shoulder surfing involves the use of cell phone cameras so as to take photographs of unsuspecting people’s credit cards in supermarket, shopping malls, and stores. Thus, they can obtain credit card numbers and their expiration dates. This information can be used to perpetrate identity theft as well.

Even if the proper use of fingers is not folowed by users on keyboards in favor using two or three finders at the same time, shoulder surfers can still train their eyes to read what is being typed with the help of their knowledge of the location of keys on the keyboard. They use this method of locating the keys being pressed to know what is being typed and entered.

Should Children Have Strict Rules ?

The childhood of every person plays an important role in the development of the overall character of that person. For this reasons, parents, teachers, and guardians try their best to imbue children with moral principles and quality. They even take an extreme route to instill good character into their children by enforcing strict rules on them. Recently, there has been a great debate over the extent of the strict rules that have to be imposed upon children for a better character development.  Some people believe that forcing children to follow some strict rules makes children respectful and responsible. However, there are people who think opposite and believe that children should be given the liberty to practice what they will otherwise they will turn into a rebellious soul if they will be a force to follow strict rules of behavior.

The proponents of the theory of strict rules believe that those children who are motivated to follow strict behavior pattern since their childhood are often turned out to be responsible and respectable adults. If ever single child is motivated by his or her parents to avoid bad practices such as lying, stealing, consuming drugs, etc, then he or she will naturally become reluctant to practice such bad habits even when he or she reaches to the adulthood stage. As a result of this, a stable society free from all negative trend will start to appear. Children must be forced to obey strict rules of punctuality, honesty, and discipline. This will motivate them to be loyal to their duties in their later life.

On the other hand, the opponents of the strict rules posit that the imposition of strict rules has negative impact on the life of the subject. They believe that when parent forces their children to follow some strict behavior pattern, they are in reality stimulating a rebellious nature of their children. Psychologists believe that human beings have a curiosity to learn and practice a thing which is forbidden. As a result of restrictions, children get themselves involved in the restricted practices by lying to their parents and another adult around them.  However, if parent allows their children to practice whatever the will, then children will themselves learn that what is good and bad.

It is true that the childhood is the most important learning stage. There must be a balance between strictness and leniency. A child must not be imposed by too many strict values neither he or she must be given too much leniency.
